The Continued success of our Trail Depends on Your help! Here are Ways you can become involved.
Join the Mount Jewett to Kinzua Bridge Trail Club
The easiest way to support our work to maintain and improve our section of the Knox & Kane Rail Trail (KKRT) is to become an MJ2KB member. We offer annual Individual, Family and Corporate memberships. As a member, we’ll keep you informed of monthly meetings and other activities. Become a Volunteer
Although we have been very fortunate when it comes to grants and other funding to help develop our section of the KKRT, it’s our volunteers who have done the biggest share of the work to make our 7.8-mile segment the exceptional trail that it is. We have many ways to get involved as a volunteer — adopting a section of trail; participating in work days; putting in a few hours when we have a table at an event to sell hotdogs, t-shirts and memberships; and much more. Please feel free to drop us an email or attend our monthly meetings and let us know how you would like to help, and we’ll be sure to reach out when there’s an opportunity.
If you are interested in adopting a section of trail (or already have adopted one), please note the forms and other information below. Trail adopters keep sections free of debris and litter and perform other routine maintenance tasks as possible. Some even add a personal touch to their piece of the trail, like plants and small decorations.
Donate a bench or make a memorial Contribution
If you have spent time on our trail, you’ve seen the benches along the way that offer a nice opportunity to rest, contemplate, and enjoy the peace and quiet. Look closer and you’ll see that the benches have been donated in memory of loved ones. If you would like to sponsor a bench or make a memorial donation to the trail club, please mail it to MJ2KB Trail Club, PO Box 277, Mount Jewett PA 16740. We will acknowledge your generosity and post a photo on our Benches & Memorials page. Click here to download a donation form.
General donations to the club also may be made via the annual membership form. Funds go toward maintenance and improvements to the trail.
